2 ปี หลังจากที่เปิดตัว Nexus 5 ซึ่งประสบความนิยมสูงสุด ทาง LG และ Google ก็ได้กลับมาจับมือกันเปิดตัว Android smartphone รุ่นเรือธง หน้าจอ 5.2 นิ้ว รุ่น Nexus 5X ในขณะที่จับมือ Huawei เปิดตัว Nexus 6P ด้วยเช่นกัน จำหน่ายเดือนตุลาคม และมาพร้อม Android ล่าสุด Marshmallow
Nexus 5X สมาร์ทโฟนรุ่นท็อป มาพร้อมซีพียู Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor หน้าจอ 1080p วัสดุกันรอยขีดข่วน Gorilla Glass 3 กล้อง 12 megapixel ที่มีจำนวนความละเอียดมากที่สุด 1.55 micron pixels และถ่ายวีดีโอ 4K รอบนี้มากับพอร์ต USB-C คุ้นๆไหมครับ มันคือพอร์ตเดียวกับ MacBook รุ่นใหม่นั่นเอง หรือ Chromebook Pixel ก็ใช้พอร์ตนี้เช่นกัน แต่คนไทยน่าจะคุ้นกับ MacBook มากกว่า

ทาง Google ได้เปิดราคารุ่น 16GB ของ Nexus 5X ไว้ที่ $379 เริ่มจำหน่าย กลางเดือนตุลาคม ในอเมริกา ขณะที่ Nexus 6P จำหน่ายในราคาเริ่มต้น $499 (unlocked) ไม่ติดสัญญา ใช้งานได้กับเครือข่ายส่วนใหญ่ของ US เริ่ม preorders ได้แล้ววันนี้ บน Google Store ในอเมริกา แคนาดา UK ไอสแลนด์ เกาหลี และญี่ปุ่น มาพร้อม Google Play Music ฟรี 90 วัน และสำหรับผู้ที่ซื้อใน US จะได้เครดิต $50 บน Play Store นอกจากนี้ Google ยังมี Nexus Protect warranty บวกเงินซื้อประกันเพิ่มได้ในราคา $69 สำหรับ Nexus 5X (ประกัน 2 ปี ประกันอุบัติเหตุ)

I have the old Nexus 5 phone and it is a great phone and the fact it is a Nexus means it is as secure as Android can be. I have had Android phones since very early on but I just can’t imagine buying anything other than a Nexus because of the security issues with phones from any other source.
I was more than annoyed when they dropped the equivalent model when the Nexus 6 came out so I am relieved to see there is an upgrade path for the 5, though I really can’t see why thy can’t just continue selling it as it is for a much reduced price tag. A $250 “older” style Nexus 5 would be a fantastic phone. It’s got more than enough speed to handle Marshmallow so I don’t see why they can’t continue selling it and continue supporting it with software upgrades.
